Ama International to host Grand Rapids Giving Day at Tech Week Grand Rapids 2024

AMA is excited to announce that they will be hosting Grand Rapids Giving Day as part of this year’s Tech Week Grand Rapids. Taking place September 16-21, Tech Week Grand Rapids is a week-long celebration of technology and innovation occurring in the Greater Grand Rapids region, featuring over 30 independently hosted events.

Grand Rapids Giving day will be held on September 19th, 2024 at Arts Marketplace. The event will both announce the initiative and host a Fireside chat with Paris Tingley, Anna Baeten, Jamie Dionne and, Corey Hart. Attendees will gain/have the opportunity to enjoy a live art creation by Guillermo Soleto, enjoy Glitter both, entertainment and, engage with our panel.

New Meijer Partnership Empowers Women-Owned Businesses

As we commemorate Women’s History Month in March, there’s an important milestone that we can celebrate: For the past 50 years, women have been recognized in the U.S. Census as entrepreneurs.

While there are now more than 12 million female entrepreneurs nationwide, there are significant gaps to fill in terms of equal access to capital, resources and opportunities. For example, women as a collective group still only receive 2.3 percent of venture capital and often lack the resources to get their products and services into large corporate chains.

Stephanie is a serial social entrepreneur, investor in growth, community advocate, and believer in leading both profits and impact. Prior to launching Grow Business Today a marketing and growth agency, specializing in social impact, Stephanie spent 16 years in broadcast media. 

Growing up in Kalamazoo, Michigan the granddaughter of Italian immigrants, she was taught the importance of living a life of Faith, Family & service. 

As Director of Sales and Local Programming for FOX 17 Tribune Media, she oversaw sales, traffic, and local programming. Responsible for the growth of the team and a 16 million dollar P&L. She was responsible for leading local, regional, and national sales teams in radio, television, digital and local programming. During the course of her career, she has helped 500+ businesses from small businesses to publicly traded companies grow business and impact. She sees opportunities where others see challenges.
